Apple's Heart

Your arrival is marked by the feel of sand under your feet, with the sound and smell of the ocean wafting in from behind you. A dampness hangs in the air and the sky is overcast. Directly in front of you the sand fades into a grassy hill, on top of which a white castle rests. To the left, a little ways off, you can see tall sandstone cliffs. Off to the right is a large field of sunflowers that stretches out into the distance. There are no paths or signs anywhere to be seen.

Then you're back in the grand foyer! Your rude guard is nowhere to be seen, and things are much the same as before. Where to?

It becomes immediately obvious that you’ve entered a library. Shelves are filled to the brim with books, nearly to the point of overflowing. The light, wherever it’s coming from, is barely enough to see by and keeps flickering dimly. There are a few reading chairs off to the sides. Sitting in one of these is a boy with dark brown hair in his late teens, focusing on the book in his hand.

It's a book on concubines. He looks up sharply.

"How rude. Who do you think you are?"

It’s a small study, with a desk, a few chairs, and a bookshelf. Papers and are piled on top of the desk neatly, and a window to the left shows a nice view of a greenhouse. There is a door on the opposite side of the room. No one is here.
