Apple's Heart

Your arrival is marked by the feel of sand under your feet, with the sound and smell of the ocean wafting in from behind you. A dampness hangs in the air and the sky is overcast. Directly in front of you the sand fades into a grassy hill, on top of which a white castle rests. To the left, a little ways off, you can see tall sandstone cliffs. Off to the right is a large field of sunflowers that stretches out into the distance. There are no paths or signs anywhere to be seen.

The puppy is very pleased with this.

The next door is closed, but it opens easily. Inside is an elegant sitting room, without the couches and chair. Where the seats normally would be are two black horses, two black wolves, and one very large black tiger. A peacock is inspecting the table, which has tea set out on it and a bouquet of flowers. The small table in the back has a potted plant on it that is tall and thin. The curtains are closed, with piles of yellow flowers laid in front of them. Right next to the door there is a small niche with a single book inside, bound in an iolite purple color.

At the foot of the door is a bouquet of flowers. The door is closed, and it takes a little to get it open. Inside there is an elegant dining room, but without any chairs. The table is set for tea; there is a fawn, a white puppy, a white cat, and a white rabbit sitting around it patiently. The curtains are drawn closed. Right next to the door there is a small niche with a single book inside, bound in a kunzite pink color.

The door is closed, but it opens easily. You enter a small narrow courtyard that looks like so. The only addition is several pots of colored roses, which are winding their way up the wire gazebo. Right next to the door there is a small niche with a single book inside, bound in black.

The door is partially open. Inside is a room that looks almost exactly like the cabin from Three’s realm, with a few differences. There is a peach tree in the corner of the room, fully grown and bearing an overwhelming amount of fruit. Along the wall where there would normally be beds is a long couch covered in pillows. The animals in this room are running wild; a polar bear cub and two lion cubs are wrestling, a deer is making loud fussy noises over an owl, and a walrus and a jaguar are arguing in the kitchen. There is a bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table and a nice view of the sunflower fields out the window. A thin potted green plant sits on either end of the couch. Right next to the door there is a small niche with a single book inside, bound in a heliodor yellow color.

Thankfully for you, it is not. At the foot of the door is a bouquet of flowers. The door is closed, but it opens easily. Inside is a room that looks almost exactly like the cabin from Three’s realm, with a few differences. Instead of beds there are piles of pillows, and the room extends into a small, closed-off courtyard. In the kitchen there is a window, but the curtains are drawn. There are five birds of various shape, size, and color flitting all around the area, in and out of the room and courtyard. Right next to the door there is a small niche with a single book inside, bound in an amethyst purple color.

Initially, the door seems locked. But if you try it again, it opens easily.

You walk into a small theater. The place is brightly lit with intricate lanterns and a massive chandelier, but there are no windows to be seen and the heavy curtains in front of the stage are closed tight. There are no seats; the floor is wide open. On the left wall there is a large dresser with a vase of yellow flowers on top, which a peacock is fussing over. The base of the curtain is littered with yellow and white flowers; nestled in with them is a stuffed lion cub. The floor is covered with an assortment of flowers in various colors. A black and white rabbit is sleeping in some of them, along with a fawn; there is also a Pomeranian puppy and a leopard cub playing around in them. Half of the room is closed off by a thick brick wall with a small door. Right next to the door there is a small niche with a single book inside, bound in a coral pink color.

The door is open, and you can see straight inside of the room. Off to the right, instead of a wall there is a giant window; through it you have a great view from the top of a mountain, with the ocean in the distance. The view is so clear that you can even spot a few dolphins jumping in the water. The left wall is almost completely covered in ivy. There are nine beds hugging the ivy wall, all big and comfy and squished together; most of them have an animal of some kind occupying them. On the floor, surrounding the beds, are deep red flowers shaped a bit like a star. They are growing out of the floor without any trouble. There are pots of sunflowers and a pink flower all around the room; on the biggest sunflower sits a bright blue butterfly. Straight ahead there is no wall, but instead an archway that leads into an open courtyard. Right next to the door there is a small niche with a single book inside, bound in sapphire blue.

In the courtyard there is a tall tree that looks sort of like a pine tree. Apple blossoms are blooming from it. A black wolf is sitting underneath the tree, alert. He perks up when you enter, keeping a close eye on you. There are several other trees in the courtyard, all of them fruit trees and no bigger than bushes. A sparrow sits in a small orange tree chirping.

Looks a little prickly. But with the apple blossoms.

There's a voice from behind you. "I don't think he'd eat you..."
