You find yourselves in a well acquainted parlor while the storm rages on outside. Mother's voice resounds from somewhere unseen.

"Dear Mother will be with you in a moment, my children. But until then, please do try to become well acquainted with one another."

[You'll find a small dance card tucked into the pocket of your outfit. It has on it a description of your role. Please refer to the DP journal for a post locked to your team with the contents of your card.]

As your mingling continues, suddenly Mother's voice cuts through the sounds of conversation.

"Well now, I am so sorry that to so long my dears, but now I feel the game can begin. It's hardly the weather for a waltz but I think it is such a lovely atmosphere to get to know one another intimately. You'll find exactly how intimate on your cards, of course. Just write the name of the person who matches, in your humble opinion. Do try to be correct, Mother does so despise it when you try to pretend to be clever with your guesses."

Thank you, my dears. That was quite enjoyable, wasn't it? Now, let's see if we can add a bit of excitement to this tired old game. You've gained the trust of your fellows, so do try your hand at convincing them of the sordid affairs that you've found your peers to be engaging in. Ah, but it wouldn't do to make a scandal. Let's try to keep things quiet now, shall we?
