Misato's Heart

You find yourself at the start of a very long corridor. The temperature is cool and all of the walls are made of smooth, steel plaques. You can make out what seems like a door several feet away, at the other end of the corridor.

Your footsteps echo as you walk and exactly halfway through you can see two more corridors branching out to the sides:

To the left, at exactly the same distance as both doors, is a large board displaying some text you can’t make out from here.

To the right, there appears to be nothing but a desk with some papers on it and an empty, red chair behind it.

Once you reach the other side it is easy to see the doors are actually those of an elevator. There is only one button you can press to call it, and a sign under it that reads:

The doors open with a ding. As you step out, you find yourself in a medium-sized small apartment. The lights are off, making it hard to see anything, and the air feels somewhat stale.

The doors open with a ding. As you step out, you find yourself at the utmost layer of a very large... command room? An alarm seems to be going off, and the wide screen in front of you blinks in red with the words ANGEL ATTACK, everyone is too busy analyzing information and calling out statuses to notice you.

You can hear Misato’s voice not far from where you are. “We can't use Rei, she's still recovering!”

The doors open with a ding. As you step out, you find yourself in a completely dark room, you literally can’t see beyond your nose. Suddenly, a spot light clicks on somewhere and amidst all the blackness you can see a young girl, around 13-14 sitting on a metal folding chair. She seems to be talking to someone, but... who?

The doors open with a ding. As you step out, you find yourself in a dimly lit room. There walls are decorated with different car posters and accessories, there is a small desk with a chair, and a bed.

. . . And what seems like two women twisting under the bed sheets, and making not very decent noises.

The doors open with a ding. As you step out, you find yourself inside an Aather cabin. It’s not hard to tell this is Amethyst, by the purple color of the bed clothes, pillows, uniforms lying about, and other little details. There is a table with assorted cooking utensils and other trinkets, and you may also notice less common pieces of furniture such as a stove and a refrigerator.

This place feels cozy, somehow.

… Also a small incest and a miniature MLP are chasing each other around.

The walls in this room are covered by crucifixes. There is easily a hundred of them or more, all in different sizes, styles, and materials. However, if you pay close attention, you will also notice there are more than a dozen scattered on the floor. You can easily figure out where each one of them goes, by the markings they seem to have left on the wall.

This area seems very similar to the starting one, low temperature and steel walls, but the architecture is a lot more elaborate and you can see NERV logos here and there. In the farthest corner, the following exchange is taking place between two people:

Once Shinji has been shoved into the elevator, Misato collapses against the wall in the back, holding her side. She’s clearly bleeding.
