when you input the final set of gem colours, there's a rumble and a trapdoor opens in the middle of the house's floor. it's dimly lit, and there's a ladder leading down.]

there's a copper fishing rod down here for some reason, a doodle on the walls, a copper chest with a keyhole, and a fire bird sleeping in a nest]

[it's of the clearing where you started out! an arrow is drawn to a certain point high up in one of the trees]

[This doodle is like a map then?]

[Do I still have the key and can I use that for the chest?]

[it's not a map! it's literally a landscape drawing to indicate that certain point.

the key vanished when you used it on the cabinet.]

[Of course. Would be too easy if keys had more than one use.]

[...I'll grab the fishing pole and poke the sleeping bird with it.]

[the nest is not on fire! you can pick it up.]

[picking it up then! ...getting up the ladder with both it and the fishing pole will be an adventure.]

[Yes it was BUT I HAVE ENDURED FAR WORST and I will surely regret my poor decisions later.]

[...Possibly I didn't need to bring the fishing pole up just yet so I'll set that aside for now. Grabbing the plate of birdseed instead and off to go find that bird in the hollow again, careful not to wake the one I have.]

[Good thing I planned for it. Taking the bird seed and tossing some at the front of the hollow, then taking a step back to watch.]

[VICTORY! Tossing some bird seed up on another pedestal. One bird flew here on its own, one was sneezed out by a snake, one had to be lured out by birdseed, one was in the nest...Do I still have the birds that were hanging on my shoulder and head or did they fly off some place else?]
