[...Possibly I didn't need to bring the fishing pole up just yet so I'll set that aside for now. Grabbing the plate of birdseed instead and off to go find that bird in the hollow again, careful not to wake the one I have.]

[Tossing some of the bird seed onto one of the raised pillars and then setting the bird and nest on another one.]

[...And I still have the pepper shaker in my pocket. What happens if I used that on the snake?]

[VICTORY! Tossing some bird seed up on another pedestal. One bird flew here on its own, one was sneezed out by a snake, one had to be lured out by birdseed, one was in the nest...Do I still have the birds that were hanging on my shoulder and head or did they fly off some place else?]

[I will go back to the house, pick up the fishing pole and pick-axe, and then head back to the pool area and see if anything changed there.]

[...Whenever I'm done fussing about in pain and trying to un-catch myself on fire, I'm going to try and use the fishing pole here.]

[it's probably tired itself out by the time you reach the clearing sure. you can get it off the hook and onto a pedestal safely

[...Which was most likely in that chest so I need to go find the key...]

[Before I try fishing it up again, I am going to go into the basement where the chest was and see if there was anything I missed. Maybe a key fell out of the nest and I didn't notice who knows.]

there's still the doodle of the trees in the first clearing with an arrow, though]

[First clearing...I'll be taking the copper pole and pickaxe with me there, then, hopefully to find the spot the arrow pointed out. It was pointing specifically at the trees, wasn't it?]
