[You find yourselves in a castle corridor, well-lit and bright from the many windows that are phased along the left wall. If you look out of them, you can see out into a bright summer day in a place you would not recognise.

At the end of the corridor is a stone door. Etched into it is the face of a gargoyle, who regards you sternly.]

[The room you have unlocked appears to be a giant, walk-in wardrobe. There are rows and racks of dresses, skirts and bodices in a variety of different colours (all of the team colours included, even those of teams who are not present). There are an assembly of beautiful wigs in every colour that it is possible for hair to be, and some that it is not, as well as a variety of hair styling products; a variety of shoes neatly lined up; all kinds of cosmetics; a variety of feminine underwear (and material there to stuff bras with, if you’re prepared to go that far); all kinds of belts, sashes, ribbons and accessories, from gloves to jewellery, and many different styles of tiara. There are also some fabric paints, a sewing machine and some other customisation tools available. Yes, there is glitter. There is an privacy screen also available for use. In the corner of the room is an ornate standing mirror. There is a door on the right side of the room, which is closed.

The White Queen’s voice rings out, sounding very amused indeed.]

Grace under pressure begins at home, especially for royalty. The amount of confidence that comes from being well-dressed is rather startling, isn’t it? Peacocks never have trouble expressing themselves, after all! So, your first task . . . take your team leader, whoever they may be, and dress them in a look fit for a queen -- or perhaps, a princess.

I would like to see elegance, so do try to make refined choices if you can. You will be rewarded for your originality and your team spirit, both in behaviour and result -- oh, but don’t justdress them in your team colour, that would be terribly dull. I will always prefer to award the creative. And don’t worry if your team leader is not the most naturally inclined toward feminine beauty! Work with what you have. If you cannot inspire, amuse!

When you have completed your look, have your leader stand before the mirror.

All the items I have just described are the contents of Doll Divine’s Princess Maker! Please use the Princess Maker to construct your team leader’s overall look. Naturally, the female model doesn’t work very well for some of you, but we shall all exercise our imaginations ♥!

And if imagination is not the most powerful tool in your arsenal, Photoshop is completely permitted for this task, knock yourselves out. Anything goes! The look for the team leader will be the look that is judged for the game. But if other characters want to get dressed up, that is your prerogative and I will look forward to seeing the results. Scoring includes both the actual makeover result and the way teams and knights interact and perform the task, so please be sure to play it out.

[After your makeover is all finished with, the door on the right creaks open, allowing you entry to the next room. It is far less girly than the previous room, some of you will be relieved to hear. A large, square room, it is unfurnished but for two things: one, a large round table, surrounded with as many chairs as you may happen to need; two, a podium at the back of the room, set up with a microphone. There is a piece of white paper face down on the table. A few moments after you arrive in the room, the White Queen’s voice rings out:]

Of course, true grace isn’t just about the way you look! If you don’t have substance, you’re -- gaseous? You’re a lifeform without a surplus of atoms! You’re -- no, I’m sorry, I’ve gotten distracted again. If you don’t have substance, you won’t go far. Part of grace under pressure is to be able to say a soliloquy of something of significant substance seriously without subsequent sniggering, wouldn’t you say?

Here is your task. You will be given a topic to discuss, one that is very relevant to your lives, and you will discuss it together . . . all of you, please try to contribute. Once you have come to a conclusion, all of you together will write a speech of no more than two hundred and fifty words to be performed by your leader, who will stand on that podium and speak into that microphone. The topic of your speech is on the underside of that paper . . . along with a few key words and phrases I feel you absolutely must fit into the speech. Do try to give them real meaning, won’t you? They are all real words, after all. Even if they don't seem like it.
