Laid out in front of you is a pile of fluff! If you poke it, prod it, nudge it, or smash it, you’ll find that it keeps it shape.

You can hear the muffled voice of the Velveteen Rabbit, speaking much more clearly now:

“If you could have any animal in the world (or any world, I s-suppose) as a friend, what would it be?”

Animals are nice, but for a friend you usually need a human being!

Not at all! An animal companion can be very faithful and offers a companionship that can be hard found in most people.

The fluff clumps together into the shape of a dog, and swatches of Coral, Sterling and Sapphire fabric wrap itself around the fluff. Be careful though, there’s a needle darting around and sewing up all the seams.

You are now looking at a stuffed patchwork Coral, Sterling and Sapphire dog that is now just your size! (...Was there even that much fluff in the first place…?)

The Velveteen Rabbit speaks again;

“Your friend is almost ready now! But...What sort of friend is your friend? What is it about them that you like? What kind of things do they do?”

Among our friend's many admirable attributes are their bravery, loyalty, and hard-working nature. Additionally, however, they are affectionate towards those who merit it, and a good companion in any situation.

I believe they also enjoy tea parties.

Several (plush) pieces of a knight's armor start to fly into place onto the dog, with Sterling ribbons tying everything into place. In one forepaw, your dog is given a shield with an emblem design of a very elegant teapot, with Coral, Sterling and Sapphire colors used. In the other forepaw is...a teacup.

Your dog takes a sip of the 'tea' and when it looks you, you can see an expression of determination on its face.

Now that your new friend is all dressed and personality-ified, there’s one thing left to do!

“That should be good. Where are you going to take your friend, and what kind of adventures will you have?”

...There would be an adventurous response for you, but it seems that Iron has all the epic details sorted out.

Your adventures go pretty much exactly as Iron has written out, with your loyal companion Bright Bravery the Strong bringing you along for the journey! All the cities are built of sturdy cardboard, with delicate fingerpainting to give them color, and the criminals are hacky-sacks that have been expertly made for the purpose of fighting against!

As you play with your new friend, everything begins to feel more and more real. However, once you remember that you're in a game, everything begins to fade away...
