Solstice Heart
Entering into the heart, you feel a strong sense of resistance pushing you away. It’s easy enough to overcome if you push back, but it soon reverses and you’re pulled into an unfamiliar mansion.

Re: TRUE HEART
["fine," yes, because that room was totally fine. He's grumpy and annoyed, but his conviction falters a little as he says that.]
Re: TRUE HEART
[he sounds very d. . . ry, when he says all of that]
That's a stupid definition of "fine," idiot.
Re: TRUE HEART
Either way, the point is I'm not going to be all right when I wake up. I should be, eventually. . . [he. doesn't sound entirely certain, but]
But it's going to take time to fix this.
Re: TRUE HEART
[he slumps]
What did we mess up?
Re: TRUE HEART
How do I put this. . . You caved in the place I used to shove down. . . well, a lot of bad stuff. If that was all you did, I might've been okay after a fashion. Might've helped me get over a thing or two. . . Not that I'm saying I needed anyone to come stomp around my heart like this at all.
[ahem]
But you took an integral part of that out. You even brought him here. But he's too important to just get rid of.
I can't put him back, so that means there are some things I won't be able to suppress when I wake up.
Re: TRUE HEART
[he shoves his hands into his pockets and tilts his chin up, still frowning]
So we were supposed to just let the room cave in around him? Let him die in that chaos? What good would that have done?
Re: TRUE HEART
You saw it, didn't you? It was going to cave in eventually. Naturally.
[glances at the tiny solstice]
He wouldn't have stayed "dead" forever, I'm sure. Not from that.
Re: TRUE HEART
. . . so what will you not be able to suppress?
Re: TRUE HEART
[tiny sol slinks guiltily (haha. . .) behind the desk]
Re: TRUE HEART
Can you rebuild it?
Re: TRUE HEART
Re: TRUE HEART
[pauses. . . then reaches up to tug the hem of his shirt]
C'mere for a second.
[bend down bend doooown]
Re: TRUE HEART
Why.
Re: TRUE HEART
So I can poke you in the eyes-- c'mon, just bend down.
Re: TRUE HEART
[bends down]
Re: TRUE HEART
[he does, however, grab a hold of the collar of his shirt and bop him on the back of the head.]
When we get outta here, you'd better talk to me. You weren't here when it happened, but I was a wreck for a long time after my heart game.
I can help.
Re: TRUE HEART
[but kaito's words do seem to sink in]
. . . I'll try.
Re: TRUE HEART
[scoffs and lets him go]
Good.
. . . and sorry about the mess.
Re: TRUE HEART
Well, it is you, so a mess was to be expected.
[teasing. maybe.]
Re: TRUE HEART
Oh c'mon, you say that like I'm a walking disaster. My touch tends to be a bit gentler than-- [vague hand gesture] . . . that.
Anything we can do to help while we're here?
Re: TRUE HEART
I think you've "helped" quite enough. After all that effort I made to hide everything, too. . .
Re: TRUE HEART
Heart games are bad for people who try'n hide things.
. . . but seriously. I don't want to leave a huge mess if there's something I can do to help clean it up while I'm here.
Re: TRUE HEART
That room is, for all intents and purposes, gone now. So there's nothing you can clean up.
Re: TRUE HEART
You've gotta make everything difficult, don't you?
[. . . though he doesn't sound like he's actually blaming Solstice for that]
Can you turn us back to normal? I hate being short.
Re: TRUE HEART
Oh, gee. It must be so terrible, being stuck like that for so long. I just can't imagine.
[the amount of sarcasm is phenomenal]
