The reflection stumbles, but doesn't fall as its weight crashes into her. The sharp glass doesn't seem to cut her at all.]

[grasps at his injured shoulder as he tries to push himself up, though he struggles to do so]

[she grins unpleasantly, showing fang-like teeth, and begins to shove her way out from underneath the heavy mirror]

[flinching as he hears Kaito wake up, but doesn't dare take his eyes off of her]

[she shoves and heaves at the mirror, and . . . as she finally manages to throw it off, she tries to make sure it lands on Kaito's legs]

[goddammit- trying to rush to yank him out of the way, but with his own leg full of glass he might not be able to pull him far enough in time]

[. . . and he's still way too dazed to really dodge or move out of the way himself so. I GUESS A MIRROR IS CRASHING DOWN ON HIS LEGS. lets out a pained, somewhat strangled cry in response, and doubles over]

That's . . . That's better. Whew.

[straightens up, and immediately begins stalking closer to Solstice]

Kaito-

[shit, shit- after a moment of hesitation as he ascertains that he doesn't really have the time to move the frame off of him, he straightens back up to face her, trembling and tense but moving back into position between them]

Nothing here belongs to you.

[with one hand still clutching at his wounded shoulder (and with that mirror shard still embedded in his flesh), Kit tries to shift the mirror off of his leg]

A-Aoko-- leave him alone--

[It's heavy, and he might end up with gashes in his hands. Still . . . with effort and no small amount of pain tolerance, he can begin to shift it.

I may not be that close to Aoko, but I know that she would never want to hurt me, or anyone- and she definitely wouldn't do what you've done to him. No part of her heart is as cruel as you. [HELLO KIRA this is a Kaito with a sliced up leg, a bruised neck like someone tried to strangle him, and a mirror shard stuck in his shoulder. But despite his injuries, he's struggling to his feet now, ignoring any and all pain from his injuries, gaze trained on the mirror Aoko and Solstice]

Kira-- get out--

[Chokes when the knife slams into her gut, eyes going wide.]

[And there's blood on her lips. Blood on her front as she stumbles back, away from the knife.]

H-How—how dare—

[Blood on her arms she clutches her wound.]

[still holding the knife tight as she backs away, not really registering Kira's entrance and seemingly startled by the blood though of course he knew what was going to happen-]

[but he snaps out of it, crying out as he lunges at her, going for her heart this time]

[Yeah, sorry Kit. This is FUCK FEELINGS face right now.]

[And detective is trying to stab Ao-the Thing in the heart and no, no, not the detective boy, not Kaito, no, no, they are not equipped for that, can't let-]

[And Kira lunges forward, pulling something out of her pocket.]

[One hand shoving at Solstice, the other thrusting out with the glass shards for the Thing's neck/face.]

[When Kira's thrust comes, she's ready. She has space, she's been backpedaling, so all she has to do to buy herself some time is—

Duck and lunge, to drive a long mirror shard through both of them.]

[Somehow manages to raise his voice despite how difficult it is, and cries out]
