[laughs, breathless and pained . . . and slowly, while idly twisting the mirror shard she impaled Kira and Sol on, tilts her head to look at Kaito.]

They're going to get in the way.

[Takes a moment to catch his breath, though when he speaks again, he speaks quickly, all the while taking a step towards Aoko]

They won't. They won't. Kira and Solstice won't bother us, I promise, I'll ask them not to. Just stop hurting them and let them take care of their injuries before they bleed out!

[And then, directed at Solstice and Kira]

. . . don't hurt her. I can't-- she's Aoko, I can't let you hurt her, and I can't let her hurt you. For five minutes, focus on your own injuries and trust me.

[SAYING THAT LAST POINT A BIT. . . POINTEDLY]

[not good, if she keeps up like this Kira will-

[Grits her teeth, but her shoulders are slumping, but her knees.]

[Looking at Kit and there is absolutely nothing of emotions and barely showing pain.]

[She mouths 'one' and a hand drops down, the opposite side from where Kaito is, a faint glow starting.]

[If Kaito wanted her attention, he sure was successful.

She watches him closely, one arm curled protectively around her middle. There's a faint wet rasp to every breath she takes.

But she doesn't move, even as he approaches.]

[. . . nodding at Kira in affirmation, but then focusing on Aoko]

I'll go with you wherever you want me to go. I'll do anything you want me to do. I promise.

[While speaking, he also unhooks his cure material from his belt and uses it to cast a few quick cures on Kira and Solstice]

[There's a mocking lilt to the voice to her voice. She still hasn't let go of the glass shard.]

[reaching out, placing a hand on her shoulder, and pulling her close]

[she's laughing as she leans into him, arm snaking around his back]

[slides his arms around her shoulders, leaning in to press his face against the crook of her neck]

[and just like that, he drives the blade of his knife (which he had hidden up his sleeve) underneath her ribcage and right into her heart]

[— just as her fingers closed around the glass shard embedded into his shoulder]

L—

[her voice is a thick, rasping exhale. she clings to the shard, driving it deeper—]

Liar a-and . . .

[and uses it as leverage so that she can press bloodied lips against his ear]

L-Liar and a mu—murderer—I knew . . . you had it in you—

[With her last words spoken for him alone . . . she finally succumbs to the wound he inflicted, collapsing limply against his chest.]

[Doesn't suppress the strangled cry that escapes his mouth as the glass digs deeper into muscle and bone, his entire body shaking in pain. He hangs onto her limp body as tightly as he can though, eyes slipping shut]

[Stepping forward, the red energy dissipating and-erk. Fuck. No jerky movement with glass.]
