You need not honey-coat your words around me, Son of Man. It is perfectly understandable when one bird admires another and wishes to indulge in deeper intimacies and spend some time alone in the nest or in some other tree.
You are reassuring a third party you have never met before but are under the impression that this third party has protective instincts over a charge that is the topic of conversation. It is hardly a common matter in friendships, to seek the approval of another over it.
