[you manage to outrun the monsters - they make an effort, but the further you get up the mountain the less there are, until you reach the top. The monsters stop a few yards away, ducked low and growling, but don't follow]
[the reactor is at the top of the mountain, not at all as menacing as the path leading up to it. It hums with power, and the front doors are wide open, as if someone just entered.
That feeling from when you first entered the village is back - something is wrong here, but you don't know what it is]
[you enter the first room of the reactor - there's a number of large pods set up on each side of a set of stairs leading up into another room. Above the door reads a sign saying JENOVA]
[the door sticks a bit - you have to force it open - but it eventually slides open revealing . . . you aren't sure what.
Wires, big and thick and small twist up from a platform to a glass tube. However there are cracks in it, leaking green, glowing liquid all over the place.
A man is also here, his hands lightly resting on the glass and murmuring quietly. He doesn't seem to care that the liquid is seeping over his gloves and arms . . . nor does he care that it's almost immediately absorbed into his skin.
He doesn't seem to hear you, or if he does he's not acknowledging you at all]
