Game 52: Emerald

[ You're in the middle of an empty field, save for your team and a table large enough to seat everyone. On the table are pen and paper, as well as a small black box. The box itself has an area covered with wire mesh and a large red button on it labeled "Record". As you settle in, a voice seems to come out of nowhere: ]

Today, we're here to test your wilderness survival skills. Are you ready?

(OOC: Each situation is both read aloud and can be found written on a piece of paper on the table. Answers can be written or spoken into the recorder.)

That still doesn't explain the pronoun inconsistency. I don't think we need to get into gender identification for this.

Yeah, that's heading into problematic territory.

Then are we saying there's two people?

There's two people.

I think so.

Doesn't say that the girl is a normal human. The girl could well be me. At which point the problem would solve itself and the man could walk away without any issue with animal management.

"They begin circling around her, looking very hungry. If you were this completely normal human..."

It could be implied. And looking at it that way it could be we're supposed to be answering for "her."
tsundead: (shock treatment)

Re: DISCUSS

[personal profile] tsundead 2011-07-20 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
We don't know enough about 'her' to answer from her perspective, though -- only the man's. It's the very lack of what we know about her that could let us use this answer.

Re: DISCUSS

Perhaps. I don't necessarily object. I was merely pointing out the possibility in case we want to take it into account.

But now my easy answer is torpedoed, Stealth, why would you do that.

Okay. So you're surrounded by werecamels, you're a completely normal human, and you have one ally behind the camels wearing a man skirt, a sweater and sport shoes. Does it say anywhere the girl isn't armed?

Hisoka still thinks we could use it. I simply wanted to be thorough in pointing out possibilities.

We could always have a backup answer in case you're right.

Re: DISCUSS

[personal profile] fraternalorders 2011-07-20 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. In that case, no it doesn't say that the girl isn't armed. And since there are two of them they could work together.

Re: DISCUSS

We should try to get an answer that works in all the details.

So let's say the girl petitions the guy for help, the guy's all pumped up and testosteroney from being sexually frustrated so he agrees, he takes off his sweater and uses it to choke a camel . . .

Hey, I'm all for him begging her for help. That's my favourite answer so far.

This is too complicated... I'm with Hisoka, though.

And if the girl were armed she could back him up and they could retreat together when there was an opening.

Re: DISCUSS

[personal profile] steampunked 2011-07-20 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
I say they use the sweater as reins, get up on one of the werecamel's backs and go on a romantic werecamel ride until dusk or dawn is over and the monsters disappear. That way they escape and the old sexual frustration issue might get taken care of.

[...this is why you're Lloyd Irving's girlfriend]

If the guy got enough of a headstart and then did something to grab the camels' attention, maybe then the girl could take the chance to escape. But only as a backup answer, since I like your version better.
