[ The driveway continues on up to the front entrance! There’s a car idling there, but otherwise everything seems pretty unremarkable. The doors to the school are hanging open. ]

[ he naturally stops by the car for just a glance before heading for the doors to the school.

stepping inside since it's so invitingly open and all. ]

[ You get a sense that, if you touched the car, something might have happened.

Inside, rather than a lobby of any kind, you're met with a long, dark hallway. There's a door at the end of the hall—this one isn't open. ]

[ Glances back. Well, he did promise to see all of it so there's always going back...

But for now he goes to try and the door. ]

[ It opens easily. ]

[ going in then! ]

...Um?

[ You find yourself standing in what looks like a girl’s dorm room. How cute! Everything is very neat, very un-Brianna-like, honestly. There are no toys or games or stuffed animals to be seen, no pictures on the walls. Just a desk with several drawers, and some plastic containers under the bed. ]

[ WHY AM I IN A GIRL'S ROOM, THOUGH. THIS IS NOT AS EXPECTED. Ah. ///

But he's not really sure about it. Not that he has much in the room he remembers, but well. Goes to look at the desk. ]

[ The desk has some schoolbooks lying closed (and looking slightly dusty...), as well as what looks like a diary. There are a couple drawers you can look through, too. ]

[ dusts them off and the diary if it needs it, but otherwise leaves them be. wow, reading a diary is rude. it's not like you're running through her heart or anything.

opens the other drawers then! ]

[ The first drawer has what looks like a note! The second has what seem to be dozens of ripped up photos. ]

[ tries to read the note first? ]

[ "Meet at the usual place. Don't be late. Remember, you can't tell your parents anything about what's been going on. Never forget: we're your family now, not them." ]

[ This is kind of jarring. Except he grew up alone and hated with only one friend. Despite that...

He moves to the photos and begins to try and piece them together. ]

[ As you start to piece the photos together, it becomes clear that they're all family pictures. Brianna, her mom, her little sisters... there are even one or two of a tiny Brianna and her biological father. ]

[ Is there glue or tape or something, because he'll totally try to piece them together. If not he'll put them together as carefully and best he can before looking for a pencil or something... ]

[ There's all kinds of school supplies arranged on the desk! Glue, tape, pencils are all there. ]

[ Carefully tapes them all back together and puts them with the note.

Then finds a clean sheet and writes a note:

You're the only one who can decide who is your 'family'. Biological or those you find yourself. Who you are is defined by yourself. Don't forget those who surround you and decide for yourself. ]

[ Now the pictures and the note are sitting on top of the desk. ]

[ Okay. Good. That's settled. Let's go to the containers under the bed then, okay. ]

[ Wow, look at these stuffed animals, board games, video games... All kinds of fun stuff packed away. ]

[ Wow. That's rude.

I am just going to pull them out! The stuffed animals go to the bed and the board games/video games get neatly snacked nearby...

But he'll pull out a game at random and set it up >|

There. ]

[ The room looks a lot more cheerful now. ]

[ It better.

He'll give it another glance over to see if there's anything else, but he seems content for now. ]
