You're in a small grove of trees off the side of the road. Somehow, their thick leaves muffle all sound from beyond, leaving only faint whispers and echoes at the fringe of your hearing.
It cannot be done, what thou shalt do does not sound as though it need be changed, but the rest does not match it. What say you: shall we attempt this, or shall we abandon the form and seek to rescue the heart of the message?
I do not believe so. How shameful it is to believe the loss of this evil. Though some may believe the Darkness redeemed or driven back, it is there, and it is a threat to all of us should we let down our guards.
I will give you then my interpretation, which you may amend at will; for you have been here longer and know the Darkness better, and for this is your team.
To the beloved: though you may regain everything, there are yet things you cannot do. And so I wish to show you: the Darkness is known to be vicious, and it is a mistake to believe it so easily pushed back.

So it seems. I am no lyricist, to piece this back together well; but it appears to be an appeal against the Darkness and warn against overconfidence.
Re: DISCUSSION
Though this be some poem or song, I cannot fit it into anything resembling proper rhyme or cadence.
