You're in a small grove of trees off the side of the road. Somehow, their thick leaves muffle all sound from beyond, leaving only faint whispers and echoes at the fringe of your hearing.

The latest scroll has a short message on it, similar to the one you wrote earlier...but not quite. It seems to be another team's message, but somehow jumbled and distorted. It will be your task to try to ascertain what it was originally.

What's a 'pathological'?

"Pathological" is like a sickness. Something that can't be helped, I think.

Might be a few messages mixed together.

Or a message with words missing.

That just makes it even harder...

We just have to figure out what it was originally.

Might be out of order...

"You are unsure if a pathological response, if necessary, a bad thing..."

...Maybe an 'is' fell out somewhere.

It could something like, "feeling unsure is a pathological response, it's not necessarily a bad thing"

...Oh! That makes sense.

Feeling unsure is not necessarily a bad thing, it's a pathological response...

Something like that.
