Solstice Heart

Entering into the heart, you feel a strong sense of resistance pushing you away. It’s easy enough to overcome if you push back, but it soon reverses and you’re pulled into an unfamiliar mansion.

This is closer to the deeper levels of his heart, but this is only the entrance. If you want to go further, it won't be without pain.

You should know by now he's not about to make it easy to penetrate his heart.

[She goes to the back of the room and pulls the cover off of a low air vent. It's too small for you to fit through.]

Unless you're trying to damage his heart, you'll need to make yourself smaller.

[she unlocks one of the drawers and pulls out a bottle labeled APTX 4869, shakes out a pill, and holds it out to him]

Fair warning, this is a lethal poison, to most.

That's right. It was intended to kill him.

Of course this isn't the real thing, so it won't kill you. But it may feel like it will.

[The pill goes down easily enough, and you have a moment before it kicks in to contemplate what willingly taking lethal poison says about your life choices. Then the fever kicks in, your body growing unbearably hot in a matter of seconds. It makes you dizzy, and it may be getting hard to stay standing by the time your heart spasms painfully and suddenly everything is pain. It’s a struggle to breathe and it feels like your bones are melting. After a second spasm you black out for a moment, and whether or not the thought was your own it’s the last thing to flit through your mind. I’m going to die-!]

[You come to feeling perfectly fine, if a little winded. And suddenly everything’s really tall…]

[Lucky for you, your clothes shrank with you. But any larger items you had in your pockets may have fallen out.]

[ NONE OF THAT WAS COOL and he is now deeply upset that that's what Solstice went through. But he's going to direct all those FEELINGS into trying to climb down the now accessible vent. ]

[You end up here- however, note that Cell 1 is now just an empty doorframe on the wall. There are drops of blood leading from that doorframe up to Cell 2.]
