Solstice Heart

Entering into the heart, you feel a strong sense of resistance pushing you away. It’s easy enough to overcome if you push back, but it soon reverses and you’re pulled into an unfamiliar mansion.

[Beyond the small doorway is a long, claustrophobically narrow hallway. It extends for a fair distance, and as you near the end you can make out the faint sounds of a piano coming from somewhere. At the end there are three doors- one on the left, one on the right, and one where the hall ends. The doors are thick and metal, and labeled cell 1 (left), cell 2 (ahead), and cell 3 (right). Each one has a small window with a sliding shutter on it not unlike a cell door, although conveniently placed at a child’s height.]

[Cell 1 has been completely sealed off with duct tape all the way around, including the window shutter. Cell 2 has DANGER painted across it in thick red letters and is the only door with a keyhole. Cell 3 appears normal.]

[probably grabbed his materia before he went through the vent, too, but sadly his knives had to be left behind.]

Ooooi, Kudo! Save me the trouble of finding you and get out here!

[heading towards cell 2 first, testing the doorknob. is it locked?]

[Sure is.]

[. . . can he reach the lock from this height, this is important. he has lockpick wires]

[You may have to stand on tiptoes to reach it comfortably, but you can reach.]

[oh good. his hands slips into his pockets to fumble for his wires, but. . . his hands are far too small for him to use them properly, and he lets out a curse as soon as he realizes it]

[nevertheless, he pulls them out and makes a valiant attempt at picking that lock]

[It takes a while, but it seems your valiant attempts pay off as there's a click of the lock opening!]

[. . . Immediately followed by another click as it re-locks.]

[. . . SHINICHI]

[lets out an annoyed tch]

Is that how you wanna play it? Geez, you're just as bad as I was.

[pockets the wires again and meanders over to the duct taped door. can he start peeling the duct tape off from around it?]

[He can. He may also notice that this room seems to be the source of the piano melody, though it's still muffled by the door. If you listen closely, it probably sounds familiar.]

[perks up as soon as he recognizes the tune]

Eh? Beethoven? Never struck you as a fan of classical music, Tantei-kun.

[peeling all of the duct tap off of the door, then reaches up to open it so he can enter]

[welp]

[glancing around before peeking in on Cell 3]

[It looks safe enough inside. You can make out an armchair and something framed on the wall. The door is unlocked too, if you want to head inside.]

[his first instinct is to ... go to the DANGER paint and lean against it, pressing his ear to the door]

[You can't hear anything. Aside from the faint piano playing, but it doesn't seem to be coming from this room.]

[he frowns and heads to cell 3 to look around]

[on you go]

[...Duct tape. Well, whatever, let's try to enter Cell 1. 1's a good place to start, right?]

[You'll have to peel the tape off first. Technically it's been peeled away by a couple of people already, but it put itself back on.]

[But if you do that, you end up here.]

[Yes, I am doing so and entering the room, so...]

[Oh, let's look through those little windows first.]

[Which o- actually the door the Cell 1 is currently open and there seems to be a commotion going on in there that's probably worth noting.]

[ You know what? No, I'm going for the normal cell first. ]

[Normal cell it is]
