Solstice Heart
Entering into the heart, you feel a strong sense of resistance pushing you away. It’s easy enough to overcome if you push back, but it soon reverses and you’re pulled into an unfamiliar mansion.
[IRC: #truthless, heart starts at 4pm EST!]
edit: I'm a dumb and forgot to add in the LIBRARY segment: [On the left is another doorway to a staircase leading down.]

Re: BASEMENT
He should know I don't shy away from pain.
Re: BASEMENT
[sure wasn't any judging in that tone]
[but she moves to the back of the room and pulls the grate off of an air vent]
If you're in a hurry to find him, you'll want to head this way.
[It's way too small for you to fit.]
Re: BASEMENT
[closes it again]
[FROWNS. . . DEEPLY. . .]
. . .
The apotoxin, then?
[HE KNOWS WHERE THIS IS GOING]
Re: BASEMENT
Re: BASEMENT
[his tone is light]
I'd like to think Tantei-kun enjoys my company a bit too much to kill me.
[MORBID. . . JOKING. . .]
Re: BASEMENT
[She walks past his outstretched hand, taking out a key to unlock one of the drawers and pull it open.]
In here. A word of caution before you do this. It's dangerous ahead, for you as well as him. Keep that in mind if you try to change anything.
Re: BASEMENT
I've been through my fair share of heart games, Little Miss.
I know.
Re: BASEMENT
Let's hope you do.
Re: BASEMENT
[siiiigh]
So little faith. . .
[aaaand he tilts this head back to swallow the APTX, and immediately braces himself for its effects]
Re: BASEMENT
[You come to feeling perfectly fine, if a little winded. And suddenly everything’s really tall…]
[Lucky for you, your clothes shrank with you. But any larger items you had in your pockets may have fallen out.]
1/2
[slumping against the wall with a pained cry, clutching at his chest as he ducks his head and wills himself to suck it up and take it, it's no big deal, you did this willingly and he goes through it far more often than you do--]
Re: BASEMENT
. . . well that was a good time.
[SO WRY]
Re: BASEMENT
[just as wry]
Re: BASEMENT
Remind me to give him an earful for this whenever he wakes up.
Any other warnings for what lies ahead?
[heading over to the air vent. can he reach it from this height]
Re: BASEMENT
[It's near the floor, so you'll have to duck down to go inside.]
. . . You may see some things you don't like. And if you ask me, some of them could use a change. But some things aren't meant to be changed, at least not like this.
[it's a ridiculously vague warning, but there you go]
Re: BASEMENT
Forced change versus change gradually, through time. Ha. Believe me, I understand.
[gives her a wave, before he crouches down to crawl through the vent]
Re: BASEMENT
[and onwards]
