The room is like any other room, really—a cabin with a door, and windows, and beds. But the fireplace never gets warm, and the beds are hard, and the air is cold.

On the table there is food—water, and dry bread, and there is a pot of stew that always stays warm, and full, and smells delicious.

There's more than two rounds so they're going to hit us again eventually. With the number of teams we want to protect, we're gonna have to do the same.

Allll I fuckin' want is to be able to get a shield for round 3, that's when they're going to rotate to us again an' that's when this [gestures to the dark cards] is gonna happen again. But we're probably gonna get hit this round and we got enough just tryin'a dig ourselves outta this hole.

I know they hit first, I know we're the acceptable target, okay! But you're targetting teams who wouldn't play their higher cards if they don't have to, it's not - No team is okay, everyone will start playing high eventually and even if they don't care what they play...

I care what we play. I don't want to play cards that can't be recovered from, please don't play that 9. If we get hit harder I'll take responsibility for it, we can play the higher cards that can be recovered from next round, just not that one. The only way you can deal with rotting flesh is to cut it off before it spreads, not that one.

So - what, you think we're an acceptable target but they're not? Why? Do they seem all that innocent to you? Well there's a high fucking chance they're the ones who targeted us in the first place! Those cards on the table were given to us by them! 'cuz it's either they were the ones who sent us them or it's a team we chose to protect! And I ain't targeting them! You got a problem with teams, I'm tellin' you, choose a different team then! But we. Are gonna. Fucking get hit again! It's logic! They only got so many people they're willing to hit and we're gonna get hit again and when that fucking happens we're not gonna have enough points to even protect ourselves with!

You know what else I think is hard to deal with? Getting your entire body drained of blood! They can spare to lose a fucking arm or two if we're gonna have Pumpkin have to deal with that!

I don't think of us as acceptable targets, I'm saying that's what we are to them! But I don't care if they're innocent or guilty, I still don't want to do that. I don't want Pumpkin to have to deal with it, I don't want to inflict that on anyone else, there's no team it's okay to pick. If they hit us hard again, I'll take it, you and Pumpkin and Pastel and everyone can be safe. No matter what cards we play, we can't afford a shield for round 3, I can do it know and we can try and get one for round 4 but we'll need new cards - It's just 4 points. You can't get a shield now, but you can make it up in the next round.
