The room is like any other room, really—a cabin with a door, and windows, and beds. But the fireplace never gets warm, and the beds are hard, and the air is cold.

On the table there is food—water, and dry bread, and there is a pot of stew that always stays warm, and full, and smells delicious.

It's just gonna get fuckin' harder and harder to do that. Half the teams are gonna do it that way and the other half's gonna hit hard from the beginning an' the latter's the ones that ain't as desperate by the end 'cuz they got the points.

Which is why I'm just asking for one round to see if anyone is going to be ruthless. I don't want to be the first team to start shit, and I don't think Pastel and Phoenix can be talked into it. You'll have a better case to talk them into it if we get hurt, and we can't block this first attack regardless of what we do this round.

Fine. We're gettin' a barrier at some point, though. If we get a barrier then none of us are gonna get hit an' that means we don't have to play more'n one card anyway. It's better off for us an' it means less damage.

Just remember, you're protecting the team by doing this. You're keeping us from getting into another fight and having someone think it's a good idea to sleep on the roof or something.

I know damn well what protectin' a team is. Maybe a team shouldn't be needin' protection from both the inside'n out though.
