[The interior of the tent is slightly dim, light filtering only poorly through the paper. Instructions for Round One are already inscribed on the back wall of the tent.]
[Have you ever wondered what stories are built of? Or where Personae truly come from? It seems the current crop don’t suit all of you, and you’d prefer a Realm where you could make your own choices and work your own fates. But you’re afraid to pay the price for it.
Using no more than three of the pieces of detritus you salvaged from Camelot’s ash-heap, today we’ll craft a Persona together, and see if you can do a better job than Beauty’s spell.
Devise a name for your Persona. Then, build them an identity to match. An idea that gives them power, a question they want to answer, and a unique ability they use to get what they want. Each of these must correspond with a piece of salvage now in your tent, but you may use the same piece more than once, if your imagination is strained. Then, write their story - one sentence from every person in your tent, no more and no less.]
[OOC: fill out the following list for your Persona and submit as a team in no later than 3 PM EST. Earlier turn-ins are preferred if possible. As soon as you have submitted, ping Mordred in chan.]
[there will be no making of Personae in this room. instead:]
"Once there were a bunch of people in a story, but the story had knotted itself up so nothing went straight. So they started trying to fix things up themselves so the rules wouldn't mess them up any more, and said, if stories can't tell themselves straight, why are we following a story?
"So they forged a sword and cut the knot.
"That didn't bring things back to the way they were, before everything tied itself up, because you don't just erase what's already been written. Things had happened, some bad and some good, and there's no getting around that. But the people moved on past that, into the new story, and it was about writing things yourself."
[When you return to your tents, the inscription on the wall has changed:
How often our heroes fail to live up to our ideals. What follows is the tale of a Persona crafted by your companions today, twisted by nothing more or less than the weight of narrative itself. Describe how you would free them from their role without harming too many of your fellows - but again, take no more than one sentence per person to do so. You may submit your answers individually, one sentence at a time, or as a group.]
[OOC: submit your answers no later than 530 PM EST. When you have submitted, ping Mordred in chan.]
The Adder is a selfish Persona, whose games twist and poison the hopes and expectations of all who play in their games. Every game they run unlocks something new in the realm which benefits the Adder and no-one else, building in a long, slow play for power meant to end in sole control of the kingdom. None of this seems to please the Adder, and it has damaged the faith and morale of Aather’s champions, but even the cleverest and most independent of them have failed to subvert the Adder’s games, because they lack understanding of its motivations, and its very nature compels it to conceal those and give only deceiving answers..
[I.O.U. a beard trim completely with listening ear (Loki) I.O.U. a punch for being a jackass (Dick) I.O.U. a healing if you ever need it (Tavros) I.O.U. a song (Sheryl) I.O.U. a song (Chieri) I.O.U. a wedgie for being a self-absorbed imbecile (Tena)]
And you can use all of these I.O.U.'s whenever, uh, you feel the need to use them.

It's silly. There's- [yaaawn] -no reason. Meant to be freeing the Personae from the roles, not giving them more.
