[The interior of the tent is slightly dim, light filtering only poorly through the paper. Instructions for Round One are already inscribed on the back wall of the tent.]
[Have you ever wondered what stories are built of? Or where Personae truly come from? It seems the current crop don’t suit all of you, and you’d prefer a Realm where you could make your own choices and work your own fates. But you’re afraid to pay the price for it.
Using no more than three of the pieces of detritus you salvaged from Camelot’s ash-heap, today we’ll craft a Persona together, and see if you can do a better job than Beauty’s spell.
Devise a name for your Persona. Then, build them an identity to match. An idea that gives them power, a question they want to answer, and a unique ability they use to get what they want. Each of these must correspond with a piece of salvage now in your tent, but you may use the same piece more than once, if your imagination is strained. Then, write their story - one sentence from every person in your tent, no more and no less.]
[OOC: fill out the following list for your Persona and submit as a team in no later than 3 PM EST. Earlier turn-ins are preferred if possible. As soon as you have submitted, ping Mordred in chan.]
He's asking us to produce a Persona with the traits that we wish that Persona to have, but what about the Personae themselves? Don't they get a say in what they want to be?
They'll just say you weren't following directions. "Have you ever wondered what stories are built of? Or where Personae truly come from?"--that makes it sound like there's a grand design behind the hows an whys the Personae are what they are. Not the Personae's choices for themselves.
... I'm actually debating if he's saying the Personae were created by a greater power for a greater purpose, or if the Personae are what they are because of personal choices.
The former seems to fit the whole "I'm doomed to what others make of me" shtick he has.
