Logically, yes, but do you not see? If everyone chooses the logical path, everyone will end up with only three points. Listen--we are not likely to win ten points this game. The chances are slim. It would depend entirely upon the teams we are paired with making poor choices multiple times. And so, it is better to be faithful. We will either assist other teams in reaching their goal, or, if they do not betray us, we will still do well. We will not win memories, but we will something, if we do better than the three points we receive if everyone betrays.

Yes. Some teams will have to be kind in order for anyone to win anything at all. This is a matter of charity, in the end. Do we contribute to everyone's loss, or give up all hope of our own win for the sake of others? We have to assume everyone is a betrayer.

Exactly. But surely every team will realize the same. Not only can we only win if we betray, we can only win if at least two of the teams we are paired with do not betray. Nobody's odds are favorable.
