The second reads: "Nullify"
Shion doesn't want to Be helpless/incapacitated while important or traumatic things happen.

The third reads: "Weaken"
Wave doesn't want to die

You will play all three cards simultaneously, but choose which order you want them to be used. Reflect turns a card back on whoever played it, nullify cancels a card's action and weaken will bring a card's action down a rank.

The other cards that teams may be playing are attack cards - a minor, medium or major injury to another team or martyr cards - a minor, medium or major injury to their own team. As adviser you can try and guess who might play what in which round and do the most 'good'.

So that is what you meant by 'get to know a team' better.

I'm familiar with Apple of Sapphire and Wave of Turquoise, but I haven't met Shion.

So what do you think we ought to do? We don't even know what teams might attacking?

I suppose we have to do our best to predict. I'm afraid I don't know which teams are more likely to attack, advise, or martyr themselves. . . so I don't think I'm very useful there.

Hmph! It seems we're playing blind no matter what, then.

Well, I do know that Heliodor had quite a row last time over wanting to sacrifice themselves, so perhaps we should play the weaken and nullify cards there?

That sounds just as good of a play as any. We can play nullify, and save weaken for another team?

Alrighty. Who do you suggest?

I'm really not certain. Ah. . . Iolite, perhaps?

Alright. And reflect? I really don't know near enough about the teams for this.

Neither do I. Perhaps that is my cue to speak to them more.

Seems as good as any. I propose we do them in the reverse order! Just to continue our wild guesses. So Nullify last and reflect first.

Reflect on Ruby first, weaken on Iolite second, and nullify on Heliodor third.

Done and done. Hopefully those all. Er. Work out.

Now we just have to hope our predictions were right, and that no other teams attempt to attack us.

I have to say I don't have much hope for that, I'm afraid.

Er... nope. Not at all. To be honest I didn't think much of it. We made it through all right and I'm sure no one wanted to do anything to use so much as didn't have much of a choice.

That's a fair way to look at it. From what I've seen of these games, they don't give anyone many pleasant choices.

Precisely. If I'm going to hold a grudge on anyone it's going to be the damnable personae! And believe me I have quite a burr in my behind over those scoundrels.

Perhaps it's a bit mild but I wouldn't want to be crude in front of a lady.
