TURQUOISE
You can see the other teams, but there is an invisible barrier preventing you from hearing them. You can assume that they can't hear you, either. There is a hefty serving of sweet wine and liquor, should you choose it. With a loaf of bread that you can slice. Nimue is in the center of the formation of teams, and when she speaks, you can hear her loud and clear.
"Storytelling has been a tradition of the knights of Camelot for some time. They would tell of the awesome feats of their king, and of their fellow knights... and... they were also prone to exaggeration in some cases."
There appears a small set of cards next to the liquor. You can read them, or you can implicitly understand them if you can't read.
"What feats have the heroes of Aather accomplished, I wonder? And what... exaggerations they may take? Before you, you will find prompts for your tales. You will write one for yourselves, for a set of knights, and for another team. I will select the most inspiring, as will your peers."
She tilts her head. "Ah, perhaps it is bad to encourage grandstanding..."
But before you can ask her, she vanishes.

And now Daisy hates me.
no subject
Who is Daisy, was your life story boring to her?

I don't even know what the fuck her problem is. I thought we were friends.
no subject
Why did you think you two were friends?

I just went to offer to help with some shit, and we started talking about...I don't know. Dying. And I just said teams would notice if one of them died for a while, but they might miss it if it was a knight, and everyone gives less of a shit if it's a knight. Which is just a fucking fact, it's not self-pity or anything, it's just a fact that the teams look out for their own and the knights don't have that so logically everyone gives less of a shit.
But she started acting like I was saying I'm better than heroes and I think heroes have it all easy and I am I wiggler who feels sorry for myself and wants a team, and that's not even true, I don't want a team, and I don't think I'm better than anyone or anyone has it easy. I'm here because I fucked up home bad enough to have to make up for it, there's nothing else to it.
I don't even know why she got so pissed off but she clearly thinks all this shit about me, she thinks I'm a selfish coward, so screw her. I don't care.

She sounds thick-headed.

Whatever. What's your deal.

Echo can attempt to explain this to her if you'd like.
no subject
Seriously, you said you want my problems to prepare your own. Like what.

[pause]
Okay.
[another pause... getting more alcohol]
Echo has a friend who may not be a friend anymore because Echo said something regrettable. He received it better than Echo thought he would... but he said he would approach Echo later. It seemed to be implied that this would be in his own time. When he felt like it. It's been a week since we last spoke since that incident, and Echo's wondering if he is ending our friendship there.

Maybe he has good reasons, but I'm just saying, he should talk to you.

[sits the glass down]
...no. No, Echo cannot bear the mere thought of speaking to him. That could be it.
