Apple's Heart

Your arrival is marked by the feel of sand under your feet, with the sound and smell of the ocean wafting in from behind you. A dampness hangs in the air and the sky is overcast. Directly in front of you the sand fades into a grassy hill, on top of which a white castle rests. To the left, a little ways off, you can see tall sandstone cliffs. Off to the right is a large field of sunflowers that stretches out into the distance. There are no paths or signs anywhere to be seen.

[slashing at its neck now!] Red--! Get out of the way!

A claw is freed long enough to slash in Sayaka's general direction, but most if it's anger is directed towards Red at the moment.

[using the Jabberwock's face as a springboard, launching himself up and out of Sayaka's way with a flip]

The stab connects, and Jabberwock vanishes in a puff of mist.

Ahhhh ... that wasn't the real thing, but I feel a lot better now!

[gasping, catching her breath, and going to check on Apple!]

She seems to be breathing.

I think she'll be okay. [brushing Apple's hair back]

She suddenly starts coughing up water. A lot of water.

[whoops, trying to help get her upright and turned over so she can clear her lungs]

Busy coughing things up for a minute. But then she realizes that she isn't by herself.

"R-ed...? Sayaka?"

[rubbing her back a little, high between her shoulders]

Hey, just focus on breathing right now.

Yeah, we're here. It's okay!

[taking a few good gulps of air]

Dream thinks he's being funny again. How're you feeling?

[looking around for it]
