[ And in the end, this is the best way to show I've learned a lesson about not making fast judgement calls that end up starting a chain of events that screw people -- people being Jasper, yes -- over. Even though Swift won't remember it when he wakes up. ]

[ Pulls his hand away from the red panel and steps back, re-evaluating the room with damn if this is the true heart I guess I should look at the rest of it closer in mind. ]

There's four picture windows in this room, two on each side; through each of the windows is a large set of silver and glass scales.

Through the near left window is a scale with multicolored marbles on one side, balanced against . . . blood . . . on the other. Through the near right window is a scale with black marbles on one side, balanced against--a rock and a ruby? on the other. This window has clouded up a bit, and its scale shakes precariously, weighted towards the marbles.

The far left window's scale has a few feathers on one side, with something like coal on the other . . . strangely, it's balanced, although it doesn't look like it should be. It's also a bit smudged. The scale on the far right has clear marbles on one side and painted ones on the other, and it's tilted heavily towards the painted side.
