GAILARDIA STARES AT YOU WITH HUGE WATERY EYES O_O Vandesdelca (who is... less than ten years old) stands up straighter, putting his hand on Guy's head and staring suspiciously but not nervously at Yuri.
It's good to be scared of things, as long as it doesn't run your life. You get to be too head strong, you end up making a mess of things and starting fights you don't have to.
"I don't really want to fight. . ." he squeaks out.
Why he squeaked that may become apparent quickly, as the young lady lets out an exasperated sigh. "It's hard enough to make him stand up at all, Mr. Bandit King."
In the edges of your vision, the building seems frayed - intangible? The edges shimmer eerily. You look closer but it's gone. Only when you aren't looking does it seem like something isn't quite right. You can't put your finger on it.
"...G-- Gailardia Galan of Gardios," he says, wide eyed and clutching Vandesdelca's pant leg. But he has sneaked out to beside him instead of behind him.
When you open the door, you open it to a half-built ruin. It's rubble. The tiling is still in place, and some walls stand, eerily perfect and unmarred despite the shapes being similar to fire damage - their edges are glowing with that same off, shimmering quality. Otherwise it's completely open to the sky, and you can easily see around you now thanks to this place being so reduced - houses nearby, streets, - all ruins. Every part of the town you're in.
Opposite you is the single structure standing, an empty fireplace and hearth. There's something on the ground in front of it.
The area is instantly ablaze, and the full blast of this memory (Guy's actual memory of the event, that is) hits you - Mary shoving him into the fireplace, then bolting to him when she sees he'd left. She shoves him underneath her body and mutters to him while she bleeds out, and other bodies pf maids pile on top of her quickly. You can't move and blood is dripping on your face and fire is everywhere, and you're too scared to make a sound. The soldiers leave but there's still too much weight, and it feels like you'll never, ever get out --
When the memory ends and you come back to yourself, the time of day in the rubble has changed from night to morning.

Re: Hod
In my experience, the people who don't want to fight are the best kind of people. There are plenty of other people who can't get enough of it.
Re: Hod
Gailardia seems to be peeking out a bit more at him, and Vandesdelca seems to be sssomewhat relaxing, though still alert and protective.

Re: Hod
The girl huffs. "And what is Mr. Bandit King's name?" she asks. "I am Mary Galan of Gardios."

That shimmer at the corner of your eyes again.
Re: Hod
How do you play that?
Re: Hod
"By gardening... and picking flowers."
Re: Hod
I think I should go inside now.
