You find yourself in a beautiful red room, the edges of each wall adorned with real gold accents. At the center of the room is a long table, several chairs on either side of it, perfect for very serious conferences. In the middle of the table is a plate of strawberry jam tarts atop it, one per teammate present.
In the corner of the room is a hole in the ground, only large enough for a small animal to fit through. Next to it is a flat iron bar, curled at its tip, where a golden bell has been hung from it.
Finally, on one wall is a large poster which reads (or you find read aloud to you, if you cannot read):
Georgie Porgie pudding and pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry
When the Boys came out to play,
Georgie Porgie ran away.

first case
DEFENDANT: Georgie Porgie
DETAILS: A decorated general in war known for his numerous conquests, Georgie Porgie had no issues acquiring whatever he pleased. However, after allegedly being rejected by the woman he loved, he became a serial killer and murdering women who are not charmed by his assets. After his encounter with the Boys vigilante group, Georgie Porgie has sword off murder and has pleaded that he will atone for his sins, but he refused to turn himself in. He was arrested when substantial evidence of the murders he carried out could be found.

If he's sworn off it ... executing him won't bring back those dead girls, and it won't scare anyone who would do that sort of thing anyway.
Re: first case
I bet the second case is going to be about the Boys . . . maybe they did something even worse.

you understand the letter must be sealed and left on the table when you finish writing your answer, but you can always open it again later. the resealing would just be noticeable.]
Re: verdict
Since you're not being very forthcoming, that's a hard decision, yeah? So. Until the time that the veracity of all the evidence against him can be verified, he should be held in prison to await that outcome. Should his crimes be true, then he should be stripped of his medals and all his assets, which should be distributed among the families of the victims based on assessment of need.
As for the man himself, let him do work under supervision. Give him the chance to do actual good in the world. He can work on building projects -- orphanages, or places for people with nowhere to go to find shelter and a meal and help getting back on their feet. Things like that.
second case
DEFENDANT: the Boys
DETAILS: A vigilante group which claims to "know no borders," they are known administering justice and restoring order, regardless of the cost. However, no evidence of their methods could ever be found, and witnesses would often disappear before they could testify. They chased down Georgie Porgie in order to stop his mad killing spree, but their methods were sloppy following their recent member turnover. Over the series of six months, they killed each member of Georgie Porgie's family, beginning with his immediate family and eventually moving onto his extended family, which evidence shows knew of Georgie Porgie's actions but turned a blind eye to it. Following the deaths of his family, records indicate Georgie Porgie intended to flee alone, but he was caught and tortured until he said he would abandon his life of depravity. His release eventually led to the Boys's arrest.

Re: verdict
So we believe they should be disbanded and sent to separate prisons, to be kept in solitary confinement. But that doesn't mean they can't give back to the community too! Sometimes they can help with building if there's a project, but the rest of the time, they can work on making blankets and clothes for orphans and the like.
Something like Aather, but for the communities specifically they wronged.
