[Ducks his head formally for a brief moment]

That, I cannot give, for reasons I'd think not that unfathomable. [turns his head just slightly to watch the crowd, not entirely trusting of having them at his back] However if you know of any of Lords of Athlum, I should love to hear of it.

The men frown before shaking their heads, speaking up again.

"If you're not a part of one of the families, you can't come in. Just enjoy the rest of the party."

[...nods, graciously; absorbs this information and files it away for later]

[turns and threads his way back through the crowd, towards the hall again]

Using the same technique gets you through the crowd easily; back into the hallway!

[This time we will try going up the stairs!]

At the top of the stairs, you can see two hallways, one pure white that leads to the left and a gray-painted one that begins darkening into black at the end on the right.

[I am sure any sane and reasonable person would pick the white hallway]

[so the white hallway can be plan b]

[heads down the grey one]

There are doors lining the corridor to the tower, each one marked with a small nameplate on the door for past and present members of Onyx. Every door in the corridor is currently open.

[oh, well... if the doors are open, it's not precisely like prying. Will enter any rooms whose are labelled with people he knows -- Sasuke, Sion, Silver, Viola]

Sasuke's room is the closest, though perhaps not the most inviting. There's a couple of comfortable chairs and a desk, pushed off to the side, but most of the room seems to be taken over by a scattering of various weaponry of ninja origin, along with a whip and a couple of pistols too.

There's also a mural on the wall, a boldly painted stallion identical to the tattoo on Chariot's arm.

[S'okay; "Inviting" is not really the first word that leaps to mind re: Sasuke anyway]

[takes a look around, mentally filing things again; mostly things about Sasuke, but is at least reasonably confident he could name Chariot's method of fighting too :B]

[doesn't disturb anything, however, and so wanders back out to inspect the next room]

Sion's room is a little more inviting, with comfy chairs and a desk for two pushed against a wall. There's a bookcase and scrolls spread out everywhere; it looks like people have been busy at work in here.

There's a lack of any sort of mural in this room.

[NOTED. MENTALLY CATELOGED. man this is way easier than actually getting to know people and shit]

[...Steps over to inspect the nearest scrolls for interesting info (hint it's all interesting)]

A lot of it is information that Sion and Chariot have gathered about Aather, about the realm they previously lived in, and the personae that are here. Information gold mine!!

On your way to the next room, you pass by Yuri's- which has an open second doorway in it?

[well that is also an invitation if I ever saw one. Ducks inside Yuri's room then, making note of the name; anything that would indicate this is a current Onyx?]

The room itself looks as if it's been aired recently; there's still some dust on the furniture but the bed is freshly made and sun is streaming through the freshly wiped window. Someone was at least in here recently.

[Looks around for anything that might indicate the personality of the person whose room this is...]

There's an assortment of little knick-knacks here and there, silly little things, but the general feel of the room is one of a good friend... until the dust settled in.

[hmmm.... well then, will head through that second door...]
