I promise that I will never turn my back on my friendship with Chariot, also called Dino Cavallone. I promise that I will do everything in my power to help him in any way he may need. I promise I will not turn away from him no matter what darknesses may live in his past or in his future. I promise that I will remain firmly at his side as a friend, a lover, a confidant, and any role he may need me to fill.

The baby raises its head, looking completely smug for a moment.

"Your promise is useless to me. You lose."

At that, the baby vanishes into shadows, which elongate and stretch, lightning crackling over the shadows to form into a pair of lightning wolves.
