[the pieces up here are copper, actually! just bundles of very, very thin wire. there's also an indent at the top of the platform with a glass nest in it.

. . . you're missing one wire bundle; it's at the top of the rope. oh dear.]

[t-taking another moment to rest on the platform before he attacks the rope, just to allow the pain from climbing the pole and moving around so much to dissipate a bit.

and then with another deep breath he pushes himself to his feet and starts hoisting himself up the rope]

[it is, at least, a perfectly normal twenty-foot rope climb.]

[a slow, painstaking climb. and he may nearly slip in places. but he manages to NOT FALL through the power of sheer determination]

it's a while before he feels well enough to sit up again, and he empties the glass and copper contents of his pockets onto the platform. time to work them together some. . . how :|a into a snake, it seems]

[wires go into rods, hooks screw into ends of rods, and there's a head bit and a tail bit

. . . this would be a lot easier with nonmelted bits . . .]

[. . . y-yeah it would. grumping as he works, trying to gently force the melted bits together without absolutely breaking anything. . .]

[there are! the stones fit in them neatly]

the snake turns into a greenish materia orb, but unlike the fire one, it's dark and inactive :|a]
