Judith's heart

[when you wake up, you find yourself in what looks like a field. Tall grass obscures most of your vision, aside from the two doors.

One has a neat path that leads to it, though it seems to rest against nothing but air. The other is in your more immediate vicinity. This door is large and opposing, and there is a thick sheet of ice resting in front of it, larger than the door.

Off to the side a bit is an aberration in the grass. This grass seems lower than everything else. In front of you, there is a sign. The sign points to the first door saying, "The way", and to the second door saying, "Not the way".

Aside from this, there is nothing in your immediate vicinity. In the distance, there are mountains, though they look stormy, almost as if they are on fire.]

There are columns, and stands surrounding you. Though there is no crowd here today, only monsters. There is an escape, if you look behind you. Judith, however, is ripping the monsters limb from limb. The smoke hangs heaviest here, while you can initially make everything out, it soon overwhelms you and there is a solid wall of gray 5 feet in front of your face.

[pets the clothes] Thank you. [...before bursting into coughing myself]

It's blisteringly hot here.

[trying to make her way toward where Judith is fighting, by the battle sounds]

As you get closer, a spear barely misses your head.

Gyah! [ducks] Judith, it's me, Shion.

"Shion? Oh, join in! Though it's kind of hard to see in here...!"

Just a little. It's actually easier if I close my eyes and listen. Let's see if I can put what you taught me to practice, shall we? [trying to get closer, still]

A monster lunges out of no where, its teeth sinking into Shion's shoulder.

But when Judith goes to kick the monster, she ends up getting Shion's side too.

"Oops, sorry!"

Owww, it's okay, owww. Medica!

I wish we could kick and spear that stupid smoke into submission.

"It makes it more difficult to rip them limb from limb, that's true."

The monsters roar, though it's getting harder to even determine where they are. The smoke intensifies.

Do you know where it's coming from? [kicks a monster that gets too close]

[MUCH BETTER!]

[starts looking around for the nearest monster to attack]

[waves to Alena] Oi! If you can hear me, follow my voice!

the smoke seems to be coming from one of the column entryways.

But the heat is increasing, and it's draining your energy.

Okay! I'm behind you!

The smoke seems to be coming from the entryway there. Back me up? I... dammit, I'm not just going to fall over and stop, no matter what!

[don't let the monsters bite.

Which, one lunges at Shion, stabbing her side with its claws. Another grabs Alena's leg to trip her up.]

Watch out! [saving up her last two Medicas for the day...]

[A monster approaches Alena!]

Parry
Run]

[works on shaking her leg free to attack the one going for Shion]

The monster redoubles its grip, and then manages to get it's claws on the rest of her legs. It's cutting off circulation.

[And that's why I saved those Medicas. Using one on Alena.]

[UGH, switches to try to attack whatever vital point the monsters might have: eyes, neck, chest...]

You hit its neck, and the monster drops you out of shock.

[scrambles to her feet and goes to attack the one with its attention on Shion in the same way]
