Timi's Heart

*you find yourselves crowded together on a rock ledge in the middle of a dense forest, partway up a mountain. there is snow on the scattered boulders and pines around you; it is bitterly cold. the sky is filled with steely clouds, and hard wind gusts at intervals, threatening to knock you over.

on another ledge further up, if you care to climb to it, is a mass of sticks and twigs--an old, gigantic nest. beyond that, a stretch of bare rock leads up to the distant mountain peak.

there are also small pawprints threading a precarious, narrow trail downward, through the snowed-in trees.*
