Mikado's heart

[Upon entering the heart your character will find a cell phone upon their person, either in a pocket or in their hand. It has texting but all other features seem to be locked.]

[You stand on the surface of still water. Looking down, the water seems bottomless. Deep, and dark.]

[Looking up you see a mirror, it's within reach and acts as a ceiling.]

[In all directions there is nothing but the water below and the mirror above.]

[This shows up on the upper left side of your vision.]

Doors (Up the Mirror)

[You stand in front of three doors. The mirror is under your feet.]

[Left, a blue door with a crown etched in it. It has a keypad for a password beside it. Right, a yellow door, the symbol is a sashimono with the smudged words the sky has fallen.]

[The middle door is a deep red and the symbol is a katana.]

Sinking

[As you're pulled down, you find that it's dark and cold. You feel like you're drowning. A shark watches you, speculatively, circling slowly closer. There's a mirror sinking beside you, but it shows no reflection.]

School Grounds

[dramatispersonae]

[You stand at the entrance to a high school. The sign reads "Raira Academy" and the grounds look modern and aesthetic, a puddle of water from recent rain shows your reflection. To your right is the track and field area, though it seems to be a sunflower field. Where the school gym would be is a cabin with a coral roof.]

[Straight ahead are the normal classrooms. The windows reflect the morning sunshine, and birds twitter. Sakura trees blossom inside the walls of the school grounds.]

Viewing Room

[A simple small room, with a couch in front of a full screen television and DVD player. The black screen of the TV is dark, reflecting the room.]

[A boy with silver earrings and bleach blond hair lounges on the couch. Behind him are rows of DVD cases on a set of shelves.]

[He looks up when you enter.]

Doors (In the Water)

[You stand in front of three doors. The water is now the sky, in a very surreal touch.]

[Left is a steel door with the silhouette of a black chess piece, a king, on it. A keypad waiting for a password input is next to the door. Right is a white door with a blue square symbol.]

[The middle door is a dark gray, and only with some squinting can you make out the symbol is a black scythe.]

[t-takes a moment to compose himself as he inspects the doors, then steps forward to input Baccano into the keypad]

Sunflower Field and Cabin

[Entering the sunflower field you may find yourself wandering. It's a bit of a maze. More rain puddles reflect the sky and you as you pass by.]

[Eventually you can make your way through the maze to the cabin with a coral roof. The door stands open, inviting.]

[A small stuffed lion sits in front of the door, drawing in crayon. From inside comes the smell of baking pies.]

Inside the school

[dramatispersonae]

[You enter the school, passing the shoe lockers and the entryway notice board. Mirrors decorate the hallway, The halls are filled with students, and as you look into classrooms you may actually notice some familiar faces.]

[However most of the students seem not to notice you or greet you, and many of them appear to be almost grey, or colorless. It's a little eerie, though they chat with each other, lively enough.]

[Some of the students do call out to you, asking for you to come over. Or there is one open classroom with people you definitely recognize.]

[And that is kind of eerie, but eh, we're in a strange place. Hmmmm, I guess I'll go to those who were calling me over first.]

Behind the Waterfall

[As you step through the door it disappears, leaving you in a dim cavern, the air is humid and it's easy to see why—you're in a cave behind a waterfall, the sound rushing in your ears. There seems to be a slick narrow path you might use to get out. Careful, it looks slippery.]

Heart?

[You find yourself in a small, one-room apartment. There's a low table and a computer. The computer is already on and the screen invites you to come check it out. Pictures of people line one wall. Another wall is taken up by a closet. Another wall is taken up by one huge mirror that reflects the whole room, and the last wall is windows, letting in light. A ceiling fan hums lazily above you.]

Coral Cabin

[It's Coral cabin. Everyone's bed is more or less neatly made, it's dusted and fairly clean, and there's a few pies cooling on the kitchen counter. The walls are lined with crayon drawings of people and scenes from Aather. A silver plate hanging in decoration reflects the room.]

[On the table in the kitchen is an odd collection of cell phone charms: a hummingbird, a tear drop, a glowing red eye, a riding crop, a red rose, a white wing, a duck, a fox, a gold star, an eyepatch, a mermaid, a ship, a key.]

A World Without Color

[Everything is as it was wherever you were, except that the world is now grey-scale. You're the only color here. Everything is black and white and colorless, and absolutely silent and still. It's a little eerie.]

[All reflective surfaces are black and non-reflective.]

Abandoned Warehouse

[dramatispersonae]

[The concrete floor is littered with old, rusted machinery and equipment. A thin layer of water covers the floor, just enough to splash a little when you walk, your footsteps sending ripples over the reflective surface. Metal drums are stacked and overturned haphazardly. A young boy sits on one of them, smiling. Behind him is a giant aquarium. It seems out of place.]

[There is a throne in the aquarium, bolted to the floor. Shark sits on the throne, a crown on his head, a scepter in one hand and a scythe in the other. He stares at nothing. Water is slowly filling the tank he's seated in. His arms and legs are shackled to the throne with what looks like zip ties.]
