Group 3: Heliodor, Ruby, Sapphire, Jasper

The room you find yourself in is a bit odd. It's clearly just a white tent with a table and chairs in the middle; on the table is a single picture book. But the walls of the tent have been sloppily painted to look like a room, a bookcase painted on one wall, a bed, a basket of apples. The paint seems wet, elements dripping and blurring into each other and the ground below.

Well . . . that depends on what purpose we want it to serve.

It sounds like it'll be serving as a companion, so we'd need to think of what sort of companion will do the most amount of good.

...We should definitely consider the fact that this toy will be our only way of interacting with the story, so we'd need something that we can effectively guide. A posable stuffed animal would allow us some mobility and have the possible benefit of being a companion that the main character would want to keep close, but I'm sure there are toys from other worlds that we could also work with.

Something soft has the most emotional comfort, anyway.

I'm certainly inclined to agree...

But it comes down to what we want to do.

True...And finding something we all want can be quite difficult.

That much is obvious.

. . . what about a poseable ragdoll? If you have thin wires inside, you can move and pose the arms and legs however you want, so they're malleable.

[considering for a moment, then nods]

I think at the end of the day, the issue is that we need something capable of changing shape if need be. Thin wires surrounded by soft stuffing and fabrics sounds like a good compromise.

Do you have any preferences on possible shapes?

Not overly so.
