Yato's Heart

A strong power flows through you as a light overtakes you, almost overwhelmingly so. But is this light? Is this darkness? Where do you belong? You feel a sense of chaos swarming inside of your heart, telling you over and over, destroy destroy destroy destroy.

This is who I am.

That is the truth. That’s what you are meant to do. Your rule is absolute. You are a god, aren’t you? There is no wrong in what you decide to do. That is what it means to be a god.

[His ears have been cleanly sliced off and his eyes gouged out. Each finger has been cut off individually, and he's got several slices amongst his back, bleeding heavily.

[keeping the sword in his hand anyway, and slowly making his way towards the shrine]

[As you walk down the path, you feel a sense of loneliness engulfing you. A black cat follows behind you as you approach the steps of the shrine.]

[stops, turning back to face the black cat]

...Hey, kitty. I don't think this is the best place for a cat.

Meow.

...Stick close to me, okay? I'll make sure you stay out of trouble.

[I can probably handle loneliness better with the cat, so I'm gonna continue moving forward]

Meow.

[It seems to get his request since it's following quite leisurely. When he starts to go up, a large blast repels him a good distance back onto the ground. The sword burns in your hand.]
