Finely-lettered words shift and scroll in silvery-black ink across their surface, and even if you cannot read or write normally, the ability comes to you for the duration of this game.

Food sounds the easiest for all of us.

So we need one for each line, and the 'down' word has to match up... that could be tricky.

Maybe not if we pick the right word going downwards.

Stalk could work as the straight down, perhaps?

Like, a leek stalk? Maybe, but I still can't think of any good food words that end in k that are 7 letters long.
