EMERALD
[You're in an oval, almost egg-shaped room, with a high dome and clear walls that allow you to see the other team's rooms, although you can't hear them. In the middle of the room is a table, with some of the items from the Ring scattered about. An ornate book lays there as well, open to the first page:]
"There were formerly a king and a queen, who were so sorry that they had no children; so sorry that it cannot be expressed. They went to all the waters in the world; vows, pilgrimages, all ways were tried, and all to no purpose.
At last, however, the Queen had a daughter. There was a very fine christening; and the Princess had for her god-mothers all the fairies they could find in the whole kingdom (they found seven), that every one of them might give her a gift, as was the custom of fairies in those days. By this means the Princess had all the perfections imaginable."
The Princess is already wonderful, isn't she? What more could you want in a princess?
Re: DECISION
If anything happens to you, I'm scared that people I care about will be hurt. Even if everything that everyone has worked for up to this point is lost, the effort and courage they have had isn't diminished. Forgotten, maybe, but not without meaning. But I can't let go of the people that I care about any easier than you can. I'm selfish, I know, but you probably realize that we all have these selfish desires that we can't help acting on . . .
So, I can't begrudge yours, either. Search for him, search to the four corners of this world. I know that you will be followed til to the very end of that search, too. The faith, hope, and connection that people have with others is incredible. You're in love, right? You probably have a very good idea what it's like. So, don't deny what your heart tells you.
Above all, I want to ask you to know your role. Not the role that Aather has given you, but the role that you chose. You wanted to save, to restore this world, so know what responsibility you have to the people that joined you in that effort . . . And if you can't accept it on your own, have faith in your own power, then it's okay to say that you're uncertain, that you may not be able to do more. It isn't wrong. It's the bravest thing you can do, to break what you thought or believed before.
I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.
