Below you is a village that has fallen on difficult times with the coming of the Darkness to this world. Everyone there has to work hard to survive. Their only reprieve is that they are watched over by guardian angels who keep the Darkness at bay. You control one of those angels.

Our guardian angel is the Light of Hope. The Light of Hope's true form is a torch, though among its powers is the ability to give itself a humanoid form, seemingly always carrying a torch. While in the humanoid form of a catgirl, it possesses the ability to interact with the world and communicate with people as a normal human would, as well as the ability to sing and inspire them to new heights. However, the Light of Hope's true power reveals itself when being held by a chosen mortal, imbuing the people gathered around her with a magical boost that strengthens the mind of people, makes them recall happy times, fills them with motivation to protect the people around them, and strengthens their bodies, that they may be protected from the assaults from the Darkness and fend it off with their own hands and wills.

[ Beneath you, a wave of shadow rolls across the little town, obscuring everything but the tiny, distant forms of the knights. ]

The village has fallen to the Darkness. Its guardian angels may do their best to save its inhabitants.

VILLAGERS

[dramatispersonae]

1. The Knight fights to help others survive.
2. The Watchman has the duty of watching for the Darkness from the outskirts of village and doing everything they can to stop it should it approach while alerting the villagers. They do this because they wish to keep their friends and my family safe and because fighting against the Darkness is the only way to survive.
3. The Soldier doesn't really have any special reason for fighting, so they do it for whoever's next to them.
4. The Magi watches and guides the flow of energy in this world, whether that energy is light or dark; this job can require them to be anywhere and they have a reason to keep going because of it. They don't mind the fighting part at all.
5. The Knight or the Idol has never been anyone important until not long before they came here and doesn't think they're anyone important here, either. They have no reason for wanting to survive and help other people; they say they don't need one.
6. The Assassin believes that sometimes someone has to be willing to get their hands dirty.
7. The Supporter doesn't really have any particularly useful skills, and they can't fight on their own. The things they do are just helping others. They can cook and repair things and shield people, and they'll also help people with whatever they can do, if people ask for it. There's nothing really else the Supporter does or wants to do.
