Tiger's Eye

[When you step through the door, you find yourself in a dark room. The only thing that seems to light the room is a candle that one of you are suddenly holding.

You can hear a voice echoing around you though you don't know who it belongs to.]

Actually I honestly don't know how to change aaaaanyone. Humans are terrible and will probably be terrible until the end of time. Wouldn't it be nice to change that? But you can't. I guess individuals, sure. "Someone", sure.

But hoooow do you help someone change. Hmm. Hmm! I guess, first of all, people are the way they are because they have certain beliefs. Sometimes those are false. So in those cases, you can show them the truth. Then they'll change. They have to, when their beliefs are in conflict with the truth.

What else, what else... I guess belief too. When you're at the lowest and lashing out, someone believing in you can make you want to live up to it. Haha, it can go the other way, though, make your behavior worse. But I guess either way is a change...?

So truth, belief in you, and ... disregarding your personhood! Even if it's for a good cause. You change, you know? You become a thing. It boxes you in and you go a little crazy. I mean, using you as a tool, or putting you in a situation where your use is more important than anything else, or overwriting your will... That kind of thing. It'll ruin you.

1) Truth - If you show someone the foundations of their belief are wrong in some way, and reveal the truth of it to them, they have to include that in their view of the world.

2) Belief - If you believe in someone, they either want to live up to that or reject it. So they're steered in one direction or another.

3) Disregard - If someone's personhood is totally overwritten, they'll change. If they're viewed as a tool, or used, or lied to, or forced to take action in some way... they will become whatever they have to in order to become something not to be disregarded any more.

But it's not! It's not. Hmm, if I touched the old lady with disregard, she'd probably get worse. Belief too, that could be bad. Maybe truth? Maybe if she was forced to realize she was harming children, and couldn't justify it?

The children definitely need to believe in their own power, that's for sure too. Haha, it may not mean much, but they have to believe or it definitely won't.

♦ Truth - use on the figure.
♦ Belief - use on the children
♦ Disregard - use on the lock.

Ehhh, but I'm not sure why they'd lock them in if they wanted to get rid of them so it's hard to judge if this change is good or not.

I can't tell if it's truly change either! I'm only seeing what's here now, not what comes of it. Like, how does the kids' belief help? What about the figure's truth? What difference does the lock make?

Re: Answer

I don't know how I feel because I don't know what comes of it, but I think the kids having some kind of control over their own situation is better than not? Ummm, and I don't know if you can truly help someone change like this, especially because we don't get to see if true change happens. I don't know! Change is big and scary and you won't always know how it works.

But let's do it. If you wanna change, let's change things. The truth is, we know Persona can, right? Even if it's hard. So you have to believe in that, I guess? I believe you can if you want to. I've not wanted to for a long time so it's hard to get perspective. Ummm but. I want to be happy. I want everyone to know I'm "a person" and not to stop being one ever again. And that's probably what you want too, right? So let's reach for that, let's just go forward from there and try to be happy.
