♕ Game 46: Turquoise

[You find yourselves in a castle corridor, well-lit and bright from the many windows that are phased along the left wall. If you look out of them, you can see out into a bright summer day in a place you would not recognise.

At the end of the corridor is a stone door. Etched into it is the face of a gargoyle, who regards you sternly.]

It sounds like "boring."

I don't think that's what it is though.

What are you going to say about them...?

What do you expect us to say?

I was asking. It's not about what knights'd say.

They aren't all exactly kind to us.

. . . What kinds of things would you say?
brotagonist: Lloyd: thinky/neutral/srs/complicated (see what's behind me; see what's ahead)

As far as we've been able to figure out... they're like stories, or people in stories. They get power from the strength of our feelings and our choices in the games because their feelings and choices don't have the same effect on Aather. There are rules written into their world that they can't break, no matter how kind or cruel they are, and they can't really stop other Personae from being kind or cruel either. The one running the game today said she didn't remember peoples' names very well — it didn't sound like she could do much about it. She seemed sad when I asked how you could get to know people better like that.

I know they're using us and it's wrong, and I've tried to kill Three before, but I feel kind of sorry for them anyway...

. . . I might feel sorry for the kind ones, but not the ones like Three or that lion.

[shrugs]

I don't think you're wrong not to — what they've done isn't forgivable. Like I said, I tried to kill Three myself. But they're a different kind of people than us... I think it's smart to remember that, since there are a lot of different kinds of people in the teams and knights, too. If they could change, or the world could change, there wouldn't be any need for conflict.

I don't know if we can change it. Why should they want to listen to us when they can just force us to do what they want?
brotagonist: Lloyd: focus/neutral (smaller than you know)

Because in the end, it's our choices that change things here. That's what I believe, anyway.
