You're in a small grove of trees off the side of the road. Somehow, their thick leaves muffle all sound from beyond, leaving only faint whispers and echoes at the fringe of your hearing.

And 'falsehood'. But you're right, none of these are good reasons. Just because we find them doesn't mean we have to submit them as answers.

Can't we just answer the question with our own words? It's not like we were directly told to use the ones on the scroll.

Exactly. Sometimes people have their own reasons, sometimes the situation is complicated and it's not possible to explain it in a few words like this... I wouldn't accept any reasons like this.

So do we just give 'nothing' as the answer? We might need to include some kind of explanation for that so she understands what we're going for...

I don't want to appear like we're just dismissing her experiences, or belittling her feelings. We need to make it clear.

Yeah, otherwise she might just take it as confirmation of what she already thinks. We need to get across that she's got a right to be bitter and upset over what happened to her, but that she doesn't need to be.

No matter how tough it seems, how painful she feels, it's never so bad that things can't be made better. This is all... Deciding what we think, isn't it? Rather than asking her how it happened, or how she feels about it. Her feelings are important too, let's offer her some support. With all the games she runs, it's clear she needs someone to talk to about it.

She's probably trying to figure out her own feelings too by asking what we think. I don't really get it, but that seems to be a part of how Personae work? They can't properly decide things for themselves, so they need our help?

You're right, though. She's obviously got a lot of stuff she needs to deal with.

Mm, we need to make choices in order to help them with their freedom. To help them grow and learn and change. We'll just offer her a chance to try and express that outside of the game if she can.

It sucks that they can't make those choices themselves. That's such a messed up way to live.

It is. The 'story' is a very cruel thing, even if it saved them from the darkness. That's why we have to try our best to break it. We'll definitely free them from it.

We will. No matter how hard it is, or how long it takes. We'll free all of them and defeat the Darkness so nobody has to go through something like that ever again.

Mm! We've done it in the past, we can do it again. We won't give in, no matter what.
