I'm not really sure that's our style. But if you want to keep the same sort of message, something like "Morning. Good luck in the game today. - Carnelian"?

That does sound more appropriate to the language here. A simple greeting, and pleasant.

Yeah. Kind of cheesy, but maybe it means people won't be jerks.

I should hope not; for such a game should give no reason for it.

True, but we're not the most popular team.

Anyway, I'll put it in.

[he frowns.]

Then I shall make endeavor to meet more of your teammates.

It's kind of an old reputation, but some of the team is friendlier than the others.
