You're in a sumptuous room, with rich brocade in your team colors and fine appointments in copper and marble that should look bright and beautiful -- but everything is dusty and grey, with a furtive, abandoned air. This is a place that's been locked away for a long time. It feels as if it would be sad to linger here for long.

I always thought of it as... foolhardiness leads to recklessness. But, well... I've known a number of kids who grow out of the foolhardy phase after a while.

They keep being reckless until they develop a mature frontal lobe.

And I think you can give examples if they want specifics. Such as... it's bravery to admit to a mistake despite fearing the consequences for the mistake. It's foolhardy to not even consider the consequences and claim the mistake as something other than a mistake.
