[ You are within a circle of trees and angels all made of water and all glowing faintly in your team's color. Somehow everything beyond this circle disappears in that glow. ]
[ The shape of a silver hand glows just beneath the surface of the water, waiting to be touched and imbued with the memory requested. ]
Memory: (Describe the chosen memory in second person--it doesn't have to be enormously detailed, but it should give a good impression.) Character It Comes From: Keyword: (Assign a keyword to this memory that you feel best sums up the experience, ideally a conceptual noun, e.g. treachery or avarice.)
Memory: So you're in a game and you have to pick out punishments for other teams to get points, and you need points to protect yourself from punishments from other teams, yeah? And it's all going about as swimmingly as you'd expect when you get into an argument with one of your teammates about using the worse punishments, which will get you more points. It gets on the loud side, and a little ugly—you call him prissy, and he questions your morality. As though you'd want to hurt someone!
But the thing is you argue so long that you run out of time and the game picks for you, and the games picks the highest point punishment to play, but you don't get any of the points for it, and everyone ends up getting hurt and unhappy in the end.
[ The silver hand closes and retreats into the depths. For a fleeting moment, the memory imparted to it ripples out and passes briefly, vaguely, through the minds of all those present. ]
Virtue: Tenacity Why Did You Choose This Virtue? It's a quality of character Emerald has always had. Every member of Emerald has shown a certain degree of stubbornness or perseverance. It manifests differently in each of us, and sometimes it means we disagree and argue, as we witnessed in Sangria's memory. But in the end we understand each other better and respect each other more for it. It's something we aspire to because it's important that we stay true to ourselves; that we stand up for what matters to us, and protect what's important to us, no matter how difficult things are.
[ The trees and angels surrounding you quietly melt away, replaced by thirteen archways, each with glowing writing upon them. You have the sudden awareness that you will need to explore three of these entrances. ]
A tale of despair. A tale of determination. A tale of betrayal. A tale of a pioneer. A tale of wrath. A tale of friendship. Another tale of determination. A tale of a fight. Yet another tale of determination. A tale of bitterness. A tale of partnership. A tale of trust.
[ Comment here every time you decide to pass through an arch. You will be presented with a scenario in each one, to which you must then react as a team. If you don't wish to decide on a reaction or solution to any given scenario, you may exit the archway and pick another one, but to finish the game you must solve three of the tales given to you here. ]
[ You imagine something like the following scenario: ]
You huddle over a cauldron full of simmering magic within a stone tower besieged by dark forces. Outside, monsters rage. Here within the tower, you are locked in the study of your master and teacher, the royal magician--and he needs your help in finding just the right potion to defeat the evil powers raging outside. You must brave the constant threat from without to put together the right mixture.
