Questing Beast - Group 5 to 8

When the fog clears enough for you to make sense of the shapes around you, you find yourself in a small, dark clearing, ringed with black trees. There are a small number of others with you; you can still make out the beast's blood splattered in the grass, so it's clear you haven't strayed too far.

The full moon has come out briefly from behind a cloud, giving you a brief moment to collect yourself—and note that there seem to be no gaps in the trees whatsoever. Which direction is Camelot? Where are the others . . .?

Before you all have a chance to come up with a way to fly out of here, something shining seems to drift down from the moon... as it gets closer, it appears to be a silvery will-o'-the-wisp, about the size of your heads. It floats to and fro, in between you all, and a voice like a hushed whisper echoes inside your minds:

Are there some things that can never be forgiven? If so, what?

After you answer, the wisp suddenly disappears into the trees--and a path opens up in the trees, though the ground is boggy and uneven.

The path leads to another clearing, and in the middle is a woman sitting at an old-fashioned wooden spinning wheel. She is dressed in royal finery, a beautiful velvet dress with a shining golden crown glittering with jewels. Her fingers turn the spinning wheel constantly, threading something, although you cannot see what it is for.

As you approach, you may notice that her fingers are bloodied from the sharp points on the wheel.

"Please, travelers," she asks. "Will you give me something to heal my wounds and ease my pain?"

You have nowhere else to go but forward along the path. The air begins to clear as you continue walking, however.

You soon come across a new clearing. Three winged fairies are fluttering about in a circle, waving wands in every direction, sending shots of glittering magic this way and that (watch your step?). When you approach, they speak in unison: "What is right for a good and proper ❄✞♍❖⌑ to possess?"

The first fairy says: "Elegance? Comeliness? Faith?"

The second fairy says: "Charm? Wit? Temperance?"

The third fairy says: "Chastity? Modesty? Compassion?"

And in unison once more: "Choose three to strengthen, three to keep, and three to discard."

You continue walking uphill, and through tiny gaps in the trees you see frozen statues and large, spiderweb-like weaves... at the top of the hill, there is another clearing.

Your path is blocked by a figure in a dark cloak, back hunched, a hood obscuring their face. Their gnarled, wrinkly hand is hovering over an orb filled with dark clouds that thunder ominously; inside, lightning flashes every few seconds. The figure's creaking voice makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

Choice... such a heavy burden to carry. Make light your wills, and you may pass. If you do... your obedience shall be rewarded.

You feel a faint tug towards the orb. What should you do...?

A wil-o'-the-wisp darts ahead through the woods, leading you up a slight slope. There seems to be considerably more blood here— the trees are caked with it, and you can see clear moonlight and hear voices up ahead . . .
