Questing Beast - 7PM to 10PM PST

When the fog clears enough for you to make sense of the shapes around you, you find yourself in a small, dark clearing, ringed with black trees. There are a small number of others with you; you can still make out the beast's blood splattered in the grass, so it's clear you haven't strayed too far.

The full moon has come out briefly from behind a cloud, giving you a brief moment to collect yourself—and note that there seem to be no gaps in the trees whatsoever. Which direction is Camelot? Where are the others . . .?

It seems we have been separated out. Is there anyone hurt?

As you have all noticed, we have been separated from our larger group. While we will rejoin the others as soon as we can, for now the only clear path is that of the beast's escaping trail. Are there other suggestions, or shall we continue as we started?

As you follow the path of blood and broken branches, it opens up into a clearing with no obvious exit. In the center of the clearing three vague figures stand before you, dressed similarly and each alike in dignity. A disembodied voice speaks:

There are three candidates for rule. The first has done terrible deeds up until recently, and now lives by lighter morals through their own regret. The second has done well all their life, but has committed questionable things as of late, yet promises never to fall to such things again. Both their regrets for their wrongdoings is sincere. The third has done nothing but good and has only good will. Which would you choose to follow? What would you have done to them?

You come to yet another clearing. A figure in full armor stands in the way with his sword point down to support his hands, and in a booming voice says: None shall pass me. Fight me however you wish. You may pass once I am defeated. Even my death is acceptable.

In this clearing, only a lone will-o-wisp floats beside an already open path. There are no words nor challenges. Only an open path.

Strange.

A wil-o'-wisp darts ahead through the woods, leading you up a slight slope. There seems to be considerably more blood here—the trees are caked with it, and you can see clear moonlight and hear voices up ahead . . .
